Furniture & Ornaments

Furniture
As your garden is for living in, furniture should be considered. In larger gardens these will have a permanent home, a stone bench maybe or even cast iron table and chairs. Wooden furniture can also be used but does require more maintenance, particularly if left outside, exposed over winter.Sometimes folding wooden furniture can be the solution, with removable cushions.

Ornaments
Ornaments are a purely decorative non-living feature of the garden. The style of the garden needs to be considered when choosing an ornament for the garden. Weathered stone bird baths or sundials can make a great addition to a traditional formal or cottage garden but may not suit a more contemporary styling. Stainless steel however, can look great in a more modern setting.

When designing a garden you need to consider who is using the garden and what they want from it, not just now, but over the
next few years too

Eating organic produce is
one of the many reasons
why people decide to
grow their own vegetables.

The past few years has seen
popularity of home vegetable
growing dramatically increase
because there are just so many
benefits to be gained from
‘growing your own’.
